  2. @awc900  If you are suggesting the government should have taken pre-emptive action, then surely every previous government is responsible, particularly the Liberal government who wrote the original legislation. All you are displaying is your political bias.

  3. The High Court deals with numerous constitutional issues on a yearly basis. It would be impractical for any government to have multiple pieces of legislation ready to go every time a particular legal ruling was not to their liking. Particularly as the government would not know the detail of each ruling.

Your nonsensical comment in relation to the completely unrelated recent referendum does however explain to me certain elements of the No vote. So in that regard thanks for your comment.
