@sandgroper4044 yeah One Notion

One Notion, keeping an eye on Australias back door.

@garg1961 Renewables are already at 30% in the Australian market. The IAEA states that once a grid reaches 30% renewables nuclear is unaffordable.

@titanicjack6744 No factually wrong the investment in the construction of the infrastructure must be included in the cost as it needs to be recovered. That's why private industry won't invest in nuclear without taxpayer subsidies. They can't make a dollar out of nuclear.

@titanicjack6744 Nope nuclear plants don’t last 75 to 100 years, name one. San Onfre reactors 1 & 2 started operating in 1983 and 84 and both were decommissioned in 2013. 30 years. There are numerous other examples you are simply wrong. Numerous LCOE studies show renewables are significantly cheaper to nuclear, in fact France recently turned off two of its nuclear power stations as they couldn’t compete against renewables. Facts beat your disinformation.

@XxXx-nw1of My point exactly. Thanks for providing that supporting data.

@titanicjack6744 And yet fossil fuel advocates repeatedly use old and out of date data when talking about the life of a PV cell or a turbine blade. Again name one nuclear plant that has lasted 75 years. Just one.

@shaynegadsden Finland's power is more expensive than numerous European countries.

@peterolsen9131 That's just cherry picking data. The nuclear construction industry admits publicly on its website that the average build time is 8 to 9 years. I will point out that the last PWRs built in Finland, UK, and US all have taken closer to 20 years to construct. Why didn't you use those as your example?

@gregbuckenara8063 All data is publicly available and common knowledge. Which particular item were you interested in?

@gregbuckenara8063 The International Atomic Energy Agency.

@garg1961 Numerous LCOE studies show that even replacing your solar panels every 20 years renewables are still significantly cheaper than nuclear power. Solar panels these days rotate so as to protect them from severe weather events. LCOE studies include maintenance costs and renewables still come in significantly cheaper. All infrastructure construction takes resources as does a coal plant or a nuclear plant, LCOE studies include infrastructure costs and renewables still come in significantly cheaper

@schuey3828 Factually incorrect. Numerous studies prove renewables infrastructure is less damaging to the environment than fossil fuel production or nuclear infrastructure.

@cristinahague1433 Nice conspiracy theory. I'm more concerned about the shape shifting reptilians running a chain of pizza shops.
