  3.  @elainehodge9415  So the Herres Range wind farm will provide power to almost two million Brisbane homes. Hectares of trees are not being cut down at all. An access road needs to be constructed and this will require some clearing. Fossil fuel powered plants create significantly more environmental damage with the requirement to dig up coal and burn it. You have been duped by the fossil fuel industry PR. Not your fault it happens to many.

  6.  @Wide_Awake-k3i  what is weak is claiming without evidence, the construction of wind farm/solar farms is of greater environmental damage than burning fossil fuels. It is a strawman argument that is pathetic in its attempt to divert attention away from the need to adjust our source of electricity generation away from coal and gas.

  8. So just some facts here. 8.2% of Queensland is National parks, which is about 14 million hectares. The construction of 4 x wind farms is estimated to damage 756 hectares in total or 0.0054% of that land mass. Grow up you bunch of snowflakes.

  9. Next fact check, just those 4 x windfarms alone will provide over 2000 MW or about a third of the state's current demand. Once again you snowflakes grow up and join the real world.
