@martinsmith3550 Yes well Tony Abbot declared publicly at the end of his time as PM that the shining star of his achievements was a free trade deal with China. How stupid must he feel now.

The recession in 91 was as a result of the 87 stock market crash and while some of the Hawke-Keating governments policies can be blamed for how severe it was in Australia the rest of the world suffered economically as well. It is simplistic to blame Keating for the interest rates and the recession. While it must have been devastating to watch your parents go bankrupt do you now blame the current government and PM Morrison for all the job loses last year during the recession?

@derekgodfrey5 Fair enough. I'm not a LNP voter but I certainly don't blame them for the Covid19 recession, I think they have done a reasonable job with the hand they were dealt. From the beginning last March doctors here in Australia were using multiple types of different anti viral drugs and medical procedures to treat Covid so I'm not sure what you are talking about the government stopping. As various different drugs received approval they have been used.
