  1. The economics just don’t add up and any debate will not change the fact wind and solar is cheaper to build and maintain than any nuclear option. You can build a wind farm and have it producing electricity in 2 years. Any nuc plant is at least 10 years off.

  2. Get up with the latest technologies. The power generation industry is moving away from the term "base load" power. There are better cheaper and more reliable ways of guaranteeing power.

  3.  @tilapiadave3234  Yes you can it is a dinosaur term used when we fired up coal power to burn continuously no matter what the demand. Do some research.

  4.  @hc3657  Yes I understand it feels all safe and warm living back in the 50s. Our knowledge and technology have moved on since then. That's not to say we haven't made mistakes. Green power with virtual power stations, batteries and EVs is how we will move into the future. Your frightened and I understand that, as change is difficult to deal with.
