  1. That is a complete misunderstanding of the polling numbers. There are 17228900 certified electors on the roll, with a eligible total of 17793140. So that is only a shortfall of 564240 or 3.2% of the population who haven’t registered to vote going by the AEC and ABS data. Obviously the approx 8 million others are under age or for a multitude of reasons not able to vote. So 38% of the eligible voters is actually 24% of the total population. Your math is out by about 220%.

  2. It is widely understood now that there was a significant swing to the government in the last week of the last federal election. The polling was not in fact that way off.

  3.  @Design_no  Yeah look fair point I was talking more about the political commentary when in reality it was more the failures of the polling agencies as FitManFatty pointed out. They have remedy their errors and the polling is more accurate now. So fair call on your point I was mistaken.
