If anybody commenting here actually had even the remotest clue of how qualifying for and how funding is allocated for a disability the discussion could be half sensible. The NDIS plans are individually suited to the disability so that a high functioning person with autism most likely will not qualify at all, where as some autistic adults I have meet are not verbal and are severely autistic. These more severe cases do attract significant funding as in day services these severe cases require 1:1 care, that might be in the range of $50000 annually. Now can we have a sensible discussion?
