  3. If and when this weapon system is approved for purchase then the Ute variant will be built in Australia by Thales. The Ute variant is required to enable the missile system to fit on the back. The standard troop carrying version is not suitable.

  4. I might point out also that over 30 Bushmasters were destroyed in the time they were deployed in Afghanistan and not a single Australian soldier was ever killed.

  5. Also they are PMVs that is protected mobility vehicles. They are for transport only they are not designed or equiped for fighting.

  6. Thales make them in a plant in Brisbane. They made over a 1000 for the ADF.
