We need to lead our own “Walk Away” movement, but for libertarians. This whole “you do you, just don’t make me pay for it/don’t push it on me” approach is not working and must come to an end. Libertarianism has been a massive PSYOP against conservatives to make us toothless and ineffective. We talk a lot about “small government,” but that can’t exist if the population are not capable of governing themselves... Moral standards matter.

@chrisbammer4946 that’s how it’s supposed to be, really... like I said though, libertarianism only works when people are moral and capable of building their own lives and we have fewer and fewer of those people every generation

@holidaytrout5174 we are headed toward a theocracy right now. It’s just a secular Left theocracy because make no mistake, their ideology is a religion. And you will be forced to follow it
3
@holidaytrout5174 all laws are built upon a moral framework and work to enforce that order *and when your nation is destroying itself you have to choose between cracking down on that order and complete collapse
2
@holidaytrout5174 it has to do with moral standards. The lack of moral character is why all this crime is happening. Where’s the gap?
2
@holidaytrout5174 it’s both. And they aren’t enforcing those laws why? Lack of moral standards
2
@holidaytrout5174 because when “conservatives” fight back, they fight back with a libertarian mindset and that isn’t solving anything. “You do you” doesn’t work when “them doing them” is destroying the country and committing crime. The side who wants to crush their opposition will always beat the side who just wants to be left alone

@harleymitchelly5542 Christian morality is what shaped America’s laws. The Ten Commandments and the presumption of innocence are both Christian frameworks. Btw “separation of church and state” was actually meant to prevent the state from influencing the church, not the other way around

@holidaytrout5174 no because this is America. If I was in a Muslim country I would absolutely expect it

@holidaytrout5174 I know, I would try to change his mind if I could but he does good analysis so I’ll watch regardless

@holidaytrout5174 and America was never a theocracy, though you were always expected to follow Christian law. Which is how it should be. You can’t separate the founding of America from Christianity
