In parts of the world where violent crime is at very high levels its the civilians who pay the highest price, torn between police militarism (thousands of innocent Brazilians have been killed in police operation) and callous druglords who don't care about human life. Its a tragic situation. I hope these criminal thugs are happy with what they have done. Poverty is not an excuse because its the others living in poverty who suffer from their selfish actions Brazil has improved, but its a long way to go.
