@EgoBrain1 Yea it is illegal to not allow asylum seekers to apply for asylum. Thats against international refugee law and U.S. law. Thats why the U.S. doesn’t already do what you’re advocating for. Trump and Biden used title 42 to claim COVID caused an emergency that allowed them to turn away refugees without hearing their case. That expired in 2023, then Biden implemented the asylum ban to further restrict refugees ability to apply for asylum. This order is unlawful and currently being challenged in courts.
