  1. China has many sources of energy supply from Middle East, Africa, Russia, Indonesia, Mongolia, US and its own Coal reserve. This would temporary affect China energy supply in short term. However, China is diversifying its fossil fuels to wind, solar, hydro and nuclear power in mid to long term planning. Again, China speed and adaptive technology will help and assist the west to achieve goals to reduce reliance on fossil fuel.

  3. @eggs bacon Little do you know China is building hundred of Nuke power plants in mid to long term plans. It is the leader in producing solar, wind and green energy too. In addition, it is building more hydro energy while building more efficient coal plant to replace inefficient dated coal plant. China is confident to deal with challenge rather than hyping up slogan to impress the world but doing nothing.

  4. @upik abu Is there any problem when China is diversifying its energy supplies from fossil fuels??? Indonesia coal is not the only holy grail which can save China. There's nothing wrong to seek alternative beside relying cheap coal from Indonesia.

  5. Western advance countries are half hearted to develop thorium reactor long ago because its residual can't be converted to make nuclear bombs. China has continued with the abandoned ideal because it has large deposit of thorium which China can't find better way to get rid of it.

  9. @ObjectDefiance Unlike US dropping bombs on Iraq and sanctioning Iran, China will find alternative energy supplies from Russia, US, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Middle East, Africa and increases its own Coal production.
