PS. His car is now paid off after 5 years. Never a problem, very reliable. But now that they recommend changing transmission fluid every 3 years for $550 I think it’s time to get a car which one can change for a lot less.

Scott, minivans’s floors are not level, the rear floor is much different than the center and froth floor. This makes it harder to level beds and whatnots. I know because I’ve had a few. I don’t like widows either because of the cold especially me having fibromyalgia, but as youv said windows also let in alot of heat. I’m sure you would block off the windows somehow, you seem very good at building. Whatever you get however I’m certain you would make it work out well for you. Wished I knew carpentry myself.

Love that you showed us glass beach, it truly is beautiful. I’m learning so I must ask. I noticed you have what looks like an enamel coated cast iron fry pan. I just bought one but haven’t used it yet. I also noticed you have a metal fry pan. What are the reasons you use one over the other at times? I read one has to treat enamel cast iron pans carefully in special ways so I’m nervous in caring for mine properly. Can you shed some light on how you care for yours? Thank you, Scott! ❤

Have you tried whipping cream ever in your coffee? I’ve tried it for the first time, I think it makes the coffee yummy. I like it more than half and half making the coffee taste thicker and creamier. I have always foamed half and half for a topper and that’s good too. Have you tried foaming your half and half on top and adding cinnamon? I love that.

Wont the glue on the base of the verelco melt off from the heat of the engine? Mice cost my insurance over $2,000.00 in wire repair and I had to fight them to pay for it though it was covered in the contract. Dont want this to ever happen again so I ask you, do your mouse traps fall off after a while?

I’d like to know about your pot you cook hot water in, the coffee roaster water pot. My coffee roaster says I’m suppose to pour hot water into it, not use it on the stove top. Do you use yours on the stove top? If so does it spit out water out the spot when it starts to boil? My tea pot does. I like your pot but don’t want to buy one if it boils out the spout. Thanks!

Great lighting Scott, love your skills!! My van guy is putting in puck lights with a dimmer and a reading light, I’m excited because I bought it as a partial camper van but when he’s done it will be full camper van except it has a low roof but I’m short anyway. I really like your lighting, I prefer low lights too. I have a question. Why do they say that starting out with cold water makes coffee taste better when it ends up boiling anyway? I want to know the reasoning behind that. As far as not having time to reply to each comment don’t feel bad, one van utuber never replys and another had so many he finally hired out to answer his replys. It’s impossible after your channel grows to answer everyone unless you do nothing else and that’s bad in a persons metal health.

@ I don’t recall you ever saying that either, I just thought you might know since you know a lot about brewing and I was curious.

What is the name of your frig??

Wow, you answered both pan questions in this video. Makes me far less afraid to use mine now, thanks, Scott!! By the way, that coffee with the foam cream looked so yummy I wanted some, too bad i couldn’t reach out for a sip. Oh well.

I learned how to crisp up corn tortillas and do so in the shape of a taco, thanks Scott! My son loves tocos so now I’ll be making him some extra tasty ones. 🎉

It was great to find a video of yours I haven’t watched yet, I’ll keep digging for more! Love your kettle, I understand how you feel about reasons why somethings are just so special. Thanks for sharing with us!

Scott, I’m considering buying one of your bean grinders you use but need to know how long it takes to grind because the add shows they are all ground in a number of seconds which seems unbelievable. Thanks for your help. Now back to watching….
1
@ Thanks Scott. Now I’m not sure if I am as excited to get one or not, I hate grinding for more than a minute. I like to drink black Expresso grind. Can’t depend on electric though all the time. Always good to have a hand grinder and this one doesn’t take up much space and is made so darn well, long lasting. I may have to brake down and buy one. I have a big $20 hand grinder where the base holds the grounds like a can for storage, it takes a long time to grind. I’m having a kitchen put in my van, still building it out.

@StaticCamperVan Awe Scott, that was so nice of you to do, touches my heart, thank you. Thanks for the advice on the link too, I’ll check it out. I binged watched all of the videos of yours I could find, still missing some since youv been in your van for 8 years, I don’t think I can ever get enough of your videos. That yoga matt of your should help with insulation, I don’t know how your feet handled that thin rug. How does one donate on utube anyway?

I got your coffee pot and absolutely love it for pour overs!!

You made me laugh more than any of your other videos, you were so funny!

@olgabermudez1664 My son has a Nissan cope and had it in for an oil change today, we were told the transmission fluid should be changed every 3 years for $550

That’s so nice of you to reply so quickly. Nice hearing from you! Thanks. It’s such a nice one I’m going to look. By the way, I’m now using Yellow Bird, both flavors and enjoy both switching off every day.

I’m so sorry you’ve had so many problems with your van home.

I’ve yet to cook inside my van. Plan on doing so. I am concerned however that food odors will stick to everything inside the van..does this happen to you and if so how do you get rid of food odors? Thanks!

I bought an AeroPress due to watching your videos and I’m a black expresoo lover, but now that I have one I can’t find the video of yours where you show how you like to use it, and I see the sense of doing it the way I kinda remember you using yours. Can you direct me to that video where you demonstrate how you use it but only if it doesn’t take much time to find it please? Thanks Scott.

The best coffee that I’ve enjoyed so far is All Good Co, it’s roasted in small batches in Astoria, Oregon. It is 100% Colombian and they use the fermented method, their bean type is Castillo. Since I’ve used up that bag I’ve tried several different grounds from different companies and still feel this one tastes the best. Since this ground is $18 for only 12 oz I’ve come to realize if I’m really going to enjoy my coffee I could have had a handful more bags or so trying to find a cheaper brand. For me personally it’s the tastiest. Mine is dark roast but they do make lighter roasts as well.

I don’t know if you are aware of this or not, but Amazon sells a metal filter for the aeropress and they are reusable, however being a metal screen the natural oils do pass though, some like that some don’t. Just passing along…
1
This is good to know. I think my pour over paper filter coffees taste better than my expresso machine with the metal filter so I understand where you’re coming from. I think a metal screen is a good back up in case one runs out of paper filters. I was impressed with how you can re-use your paper ones and for that reason I’m keeping that point in mind and will give it a try myself. I think I will buy a metal filter for back up, where I am it’s hard to find paper ones for the aeropress, the World Market carry’s some sometimesnotherwise I’d need to order more online so for me anyway a metal screen would be a good back up. I appreciate your coffee lessons. After seeing your grinder I goggled some and am considering investing in a lifetime well made one on grinder with all metal parts, I am amazed how quickly they hand grind and all so perfect. I’m sold.

Thank you so much for this link on how to use the Aeropress, I think it’s so nice of you to reply to your viewers considering the amount of time it takes to view so many comments. I have saved this video and will follow your directions in the morning. I sure like your way better. Thanks!
