@WrathOfNolla Clinton's tax increases did what the intent was, to cool down a red hot economy. When GW Bush took office the Country was heading into a recession with job losses! Further, Clinton is who started the job outsourcing in a big way, but why bother with pesky details when you're a progressive?

@underbjorn look here, I don'r know any conservatives who don't believe in progressive taxation because America needs money with which to operate properly and the rich do provide such funding. However, what Obowma and his depraved progressives want is income redistribution which is a totally different concept. @NaziGOPBallmer the rich people supply venture capital to start new businesses employing people, they employ people in their own businesses, they aleady pay just about all income taxes, they also account for a heavy chunk of all spending which in turn creates wealth and jobs. Poor people don't ever write payroll checks or do any of the foregoing! Clinton increased taxes a bit because the economy was booming due to the dotcom frenzy. Tax increases make sense under such conditions
