There are certainly parallels between the rise of the NSDAP in 1933 and contemporary populist movements including Reform UK, especially in terms of economic conditions, political dissatisfaction, and the appeal to nationalism and charismatic leadership. There are though also significant differences in ideology, democratic context, communication methods, and the extent of violence and militarism.
