On what do you base this? The rhetoric: "The freedom to protest is a fundamental right our party will forever fight to uphold.” Priti Patel, Conservative Party Conference, 5 OCTOBER 2021 OR the policy? - The Health and Care Bill that will privatise the NHS; - the Nationality and Borders Bill that allows the Tories to revoke British citizenship of British born nationals of ethnic minority backgrounds; - the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill that will make it illegal to protest or face 4 years prison; - the Judicial Review and Courts Bill that strips lawyers and judges of power so that no one can challenge the government on any piece of legislation; -almost 160,000 deaths from Covid: the worst death rate in Europe; - a “f#*k business” attitude to Brexit leading to huge damage to the economy; - Tories trying to renegotiate a trade agreement with the EU that the UK already had had before Brexit, but this time getting a lot less AND with higher tariffs; - proposed reform to the Official Secrets Act could silence the media and journalists, and treat them as spies to protect the government from scrutiny; - the repeal of the Human Rights Act will lead to a significant step away from independent judicial scrutiny and of the accountability of the government. I would love to know how this is in any way the policies of a social democratic country as in the Scandinavian countries.

That “remoaner” argument just shows you are clutching at straws. I am not a Labour Party supporter, so couldn’t give a flying fig about Starmer. And don’t you mean Herr Starmer ? As for Saddam Hussein, can you not see the difference between not wanting the dictator overthrown and blowing smoke up his a*se? Clue, passive and active – or in this case sycophantic – support. As for the comments about rape, it is true that we are talking about Assange’s actions here, but it is about consent . Isn’t it also about having a democratic attitude? Yes, democratic attitude . Likewise, since 1970 Switzerland has had 52 referenda on its relationship to the EU, the UK has had two. It’s nice to be asked before being f*cked!
