However, courts can now use Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022, and Liz Truss' Public Order Act 2023, neither of which I repeatedly showed concern about the implications. It was a shame that no one on GB News or its viewers took these seriously when I said that the Tory government is stripping your civil rights.

I wrote in October 2022, The Public Order Bill that is going through Parliament seeks to take away your freedom of assembly . I wrote in December 2021 You can always demonstrate. Oh no, you won't be able to if the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is passed into law. If you do demonstrate, you could face a four-year prison sentence. GB News is not interested in this . Were viewers interested in this?

So what you are implying, is that there is a section of the population in the UK that doesn't respect culture and language. Is it fair to say?

I spent time in East Berlin, I studied History at university, I was a History teacher for five years. A few years ago I went to the Stasi-Zentrale in the east of Berlin, and even watched the Lives of Others. Let's not forget it is GB News' friends at the Institute of Economic Affairs - including their own presenter Emily Carver - lobbied to get more restrictions on demonstration. It is Liz Truss' 2023 Public Order Act that increased stop and search powers: Police were given increased powers to stop and search individuals if they suspected they might be carrying items intended for use in connection with protest-related offences. GB News were not interested in this; I many times warned of the implications having civil rights stripped. No viewer was interested.
