  1. You strike me as someone whose knowledge of Nazism is gleaned from watching war films. Not as someone in any position to cast judgement on Lineker's knowledge or lack thereof. There were other laws passed, including Enabling Act ( Ermächtigungsgesetz ) giving the government the power to enact laws immediately. This is the way the government is going and would be possible in the UK, due to a lack of civil liberties that are entrenched, because there is no constitution. Added to that there is call from right-wingers including the presenters of GB News to repeal the Human Rights Act. Simply put, this government wants to strip you of your rights whilst using your hatred of the EU and the ECJ as a cover .
