@lemonaid8678 Taliban are one of the greatest profiteers from selling drugs actually.

US fights terrorists who deserve it. US never fought the Afghan government

@nvmtt Radio Free Europe is an American government-owned news channel

You think Afghanistan is worse? So it was better before 9/11 when the Taliban ruled over the whole country?
1
You think Afghanistan was better before the US invaded? Before the US invasion Afghanistan was mostly under the Taliban, so worse
1
US kicked out the Taliban in the first place.
1
You’re so wrong it hurts, basic googling will tell you that the Taliban were in open control before the US invasion after 9/11. They are weaker now
1
@D.M.S. how can you say the Taliban is stronger now, when they control less territory and have less capability than before the US invasion?
1
Are you implying that the war is over poppies? Where is the proof?
1
@lemonaid8678 where is the proof?
1
@lemonaid8678 you’re wrong, did you even read the sources? Radio Free Europe wrote that in 2001, Taliban were limiting poppy farming in order to limit supply and increase revenue at a later date. The Guardian reported that the Taliban said growers can regrow if the US attacks, and reports that the Taliban for years was encouraging farmers to grow poppy crops. @lemonaid8678 then you are admitting that the Taliban are drug peddlers? So why are you arguing? You just admitted that you’re wrong?
1
@Osomagical115 where’s the evidence US protected drug fields? I’ll wait
1
@lemonaid8678 you say the Taliban will make it illegal to grow poppy when they take over, and yet for most of their time in power they have encouraged the growth of poppy according to the article from Radio Free Europe and the Guardian which you cited. The one time in 2001 they did restrict the growth of poppy, experts believed that they only did so to establish a cartel they could profit from. There’s no evidence that the Taliban will support outlawing the drug.
1
@lemonaid8678 dude just admit that your own sources themselves say that the Taliban profit from the drug trade, and they have only once and under dubious circumstances tried to ban the drugs. That’s the truth in your articles you cited. Taliban should be defeated
1
@lemonaid8678 you say the Taliban will make it illegal and the evidence is that they will not make it illegal. Go to college
1
@nvmtt are you implying that the US invaded Afghanistan because of opium? You should go to college
