  2.  @xxJOKeR75xx  I don’t recall the US replacing a democratic leader with a dictator. US helped orchestrate some coups in Latin America with popular support of the locals (see Chile), but that’s hardly “the US doing the coup”. That’s the US helping out the Chilean people remove their unpopular demagogue Allende. Secondly, US never took oil from any nation.

  3. Kudos? US and Eastern Europe have been asking Germany to take the Russian threat seriously for decades? Germany was addicted to cheap Russian oil ( a claim often thrown at the US) and ignored Russia’s murderous wars in Georgia, Syria, and Ukraine since 2008.

  9. @@viktor4045 USA is ranked as democratic by multiple NGO reports like the Democracy Index, this is proof US is morally superior to Russia and therefore US should conquer all regimes like it did with Baathist Iraq

  10. Germany is a country of greedy cowards. They ate up Russian oil and funded Putin’s war machine since 2008, when Russia under Putin brutalized Georgia and stole land. Again in 2014, Russia stole Crimea from Ukraine started the War in the Donbas. Germany didn’t do a thing in protest. German engineers were happily working away on Nordstream 2 pipeline, knowing full well Russia was killing Ukrainians and Georgians in its blood wars. Germany doesn’t care.

  12.  @xxJOKeR75xx  I just hope you reflect and appreciate the irony. Online, people say “US is addicted to oil/US steals oil” even though the US never stole oil, and doesn’t prop up rogue states. Germany seems hypocritical from where I stand. They gave Russia billions of USD and enabled the Russian war machine for decades, as early as 2008 when Russia invaded Georgia it should’ve been clear that change was needed. Yet Germany did nothing for 15 years, not even in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea and started the War in Donbas did Germany do anything proactive. To me, Germany seems like the bad guy addicted to oil. Not the US.

  14.  @lovingeachothernow it took German 15 years to finally decide to cut Russia off. And not even entirely at that. Russia invaded Georgia in 2008, Germany didn’t care. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, and started a long term insurgency in the Donbas/Crimea. Germany didn’t care, in fact Germany deepened ties with the Nordstream 2 Pipeline. Finally Germany does something now, almost 1 year since Putin launched a full scale invasion of Ukraine, instead of just Crimea and the Donbas regions. So you see, Germany is addicted to Russian oil, and is greedy and selfish. US and Eastern Europe have told Germany and other nations to appreciate the Russian threat and cut off Russian oil, Germany was selfish and naive, and laughed at the idea publicly in the UN.

  16. Act suddenly? Where was this resolve when Russia invaded Georgia in 2008? Where was Germany’s resolve when Russia stole Crimea and attacked the Donbas in 2014? US, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe have been clamoring for Western Europe (France and especially Germany) to punish Putin’s regime for years. Germany waited months into the worst war in Europe since 1945 to do something.
