  1. That car has been there a long time. That customer must not need a car. Ok, yeah I guess you did the right thing, I would have done the wrong thing and put a self threading (not tapping) bolt in there. Another method would be, just in case of shavings, take pan off, use a tap and put new threads, new gasket and done. There is more than one way to skin a cat.
