Actually while yes we only have that many numerically-speaking, each individual modern British warship is far superior to it's early-80's or late-70's counterpart, in particular in terms of anti-air and anti-missile defences, especially the Type 45 Destroyers, what happened to HMS Sheffield could never happen to them the same way; plus how many ships do you actually need when, this time round you already have a strong garrison on the islands along with total air & naval superiority in the immediate area, so any task-force would just be being sent as reinforcements? Those reinforcements doubtless being led by one of these massive new aircraft carriers loaded with F35 stealth jets?

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying the military and especially the navy doesn't need more expansion, I'm just arguing what we have already WOULD be able to do the job pretty nicely if, in particular The Falkland Islands were attacked again, seeing as we've at least one warship, a patrol ship, four Typhoons, some SAM's, light tanks & artillery and at least a thousand troops, all already stationed down there to fend off any attacks until reinforcements turn up, and with powerful radar installations so they could see the Argies coming

  3. That's outright war with Russia then though isn't it, which surely can only end with nukes being fired, there's REASONS that hasn't been done yet, the biggest one being we shouldn't destroy all life on Earth if possible
