@scifiismyjam4387 ell he wouldn't complain about them as he's already BEEN in the military and has been for a long time, and not just a regular soldier but a full-on Captain no less, he's not the ideal target audience of late-teenagers and 20-35 year olds and he also will have already gotten it drilled into him to his core to never criticise those in charge and always support the military in whatever it's doing, he'll immediately take the side of the people who made this ad and won't exactly be coming at it from a fresh, neutral or unbiased perspective will he. As for the whole wanting to concentrate solely on stuff at home instead of going to fight in another Afghanistan for 20 years thing isn't that kinda going from one extreme to the other
