If Railways are nationalised money will go out to MP's and other interested parties. Fares won't go down and services won't be any better!!

@malcolmstockbridge2569 Well who's on the boards of companies that are set up to run Council services in council areas? For example council run leisure services are provided by companies and these companies have councillors on the board. These councillors receive incomes as well as their councillor allowances. Ringway is another example running Manchester airport where councillors in the area are on the Board and these people earn incomes for being on the board. Nationally run services are no different. It's all one big gravy train!!!
