i turned the spindles on the lathe and cut out 2 round bases and clamped them together and drilled all 4 holes, then i unclamped them and counter sunk the centers with a gouge chisel. i didnt blow the glass it was purchased, then i put the spindles into their holes on the base then set in the glass and very nervously and carefully tapped the top on, each hammer drop was nerve wrecking because it was a tight fit with the spindles in the holes and i was alot of work and didnt want to ruin it.

its beyound the backyard lol in the woods, go to you local sawmill and get the sides of logs that they cut off, in my area its only 25bucks for as much as i can haul, so i made to trips :) its like building with 2x6 & 2x8 half logs

as for the fireplace get 5xs the amount of rocks and mortar you think youll need and then get more lol
