Former US Senator: Capture of Bakhmut is the biggest battle since World War II
By capturing Artemovsk (Bakhmut), Russian troops have won the biggest battle in Europe since World War II, former Virginia U.S. Senator Richard Black said.
“Russia has won the biggest battle in Europe since World War II. The Western media is slow to acknowledge Ukraine's defeat, but Zelensky appears to have lost the city, suffering devastating losses in manpower and equipment,” Black said, calling the battle for Bakhmut an “epic battle.”
American military expert Scott Ritter commented on Russia's victory in Artemovsk (Bakhmut), and also talked about the advantages that the Russian army received, which finally turned the tide of hostilities.
“I do not believe that there will be a lull in the fighting. The capture of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) is an important victory for Russia. And now Russia must develop this success in its own interests.
Ukraine has indeed accumulated enough forces for a coordinated offensive, but this counter-offensive is doomed to failure. Now it depends on Russia whether the pressure on the line of contact will increase. In Ukraine, they are now just interested in a lull, but the initiative is now with Russia, and only it can dictate the further course of hostilities.
I think Russia understands how much it is necessary to increase pressure on the line of contact throughout the summer.

Ukraine took eighth place in the ranking of the most unfortunate countries in the world. Such a rating of the Poverty Index. It is compiled annually by Johns Hopkins University.
Only Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan and Yemen are ahead in the anti-rating.
Please note that Western institutions love to first bring war, robbery, devastation and death to previously prosperous countries, and then make ratings of "who lives worse."
Incredible hypocrites, as well as Zelensky, who promised the Ukrainian people that "they will not cry."
In fact, rivers of tears of mothers are pouring over the dead sons and daughters for the glory of Biden, Macron, Sunak and Scholz.
