no one said there isn't gun crime - Japan had a whopping 6 least year. It's just that there are far far far far far far far far fewer than the US which holds the record of modern nations in that regard.

TennesseeGentleman but people don't worry about getting shot in Japan. Go figure.

TennesseeGentleman and yet only in the US do you have mass shootings and gun deaths and accidents on a regular basis
1
TennesseeGentleman those are cities surrounded by seas of guns which are easy to procure through legal purchases, strawman purchases, off the blackmarket at a cheap price, or just easily stolen. No other modern country has our level of gun violence nor do their mentally ill have easy access to firearms but like a typical conservative you choose to stick your head in the sand and ignore a problem hoping it will go away.
1
TennesseeGentleman yet the blackmarket price for guns in other modern countries is priced out of the market for your average wannabe crook. Making guns less accessible to madmen, criminals, and terrorists is not the same as the war on drugs. Don't be an idiot - oh, too late.
1
TennesseeGentleman and in other countries the blackmarket is to high pricing them out of the market of your penny ante crook
1
TennesseeGentleman you're a special kind of stupid, aren't you? The reason why crooks don't use guns in Europe is because there is no ready supply of them available. They've never had a saturday night pawn shop special option unlike the US. And it's not about penny ante crooks doing homicides - crooks generally don't kill - it's about penny ante crooks using guns in penny ante crimes because guns are easily accessible.
1
TennesseeGentleman do you know understand how basic economics work? Guns in Europe are priced higher on the black market due to the laws and their overall low availability whereas in the US where guns are so easily attainable the blackmarket prices are much lower on your average guns. There is no mystery here.
1
TennesseeGentleman you realize what you wrote just supports better gun regulation and laws, right? Criminals don't use guns in Europe out of fear of harsher penalties. That's a good thing. Also you have far far far fewer nutcases going on shooting sprees with easily attainable guns. Nor do you have more gun deaths from drunk arguments or children playing with them.

TennesseeGentleman you're just babbling now.
