@rcampbell4967 your rambling incoherent text

@rcampbell4967 rambling and incoherency have nothing to do with spelling and sentence structure. You are all over place hence rambling and thus you are incoherent in whatever point you are trying to make which is why people could easily come to the conclusion based on your writing (babbling) that you are unstable. Take your meds or lay off the meth.

@rcampbell4967 crazy people don't know they're crazy. This is an intervention - seek professional help.

@rcampbell4967 a rambling wall of text is not the product of a stable mind

wtf are you babbling about?

meth does a mind bad - try punctuation and coherency next time.

exactly if everyone is caring guns they are all "good guys" by the kindergarten logic of gun nuts until one (or more) of them starts shooting randomly becoming the "bad guy" then when cops arrive and see everyone with guns pulled trying to stop the bad guy bloodbath occurs.
1
have you ever been in an accident? People are not thinking rationally or as clearly as they normally would be in the aftermath of an incident. It happens in accidents, combat situations, and any kind of major traumatic incident such as killing someone to save your life after they just killed another person. People aren't robots who automatically know what to do in any given situation
1
@MichaelVanHeemst I'm not talking about the cops but the guy they shot whom OP thinks should have acted like a well trained combat soldier or police officer.
1
@MichaelVanHeemst take it up with OP as my point is one can't expect random civilians to react in robotic trained fashion after they just been in such a trauma-inducing situation
1
@TangoNevada who? the cops or the civilians? I don't fault the civilian for trying to stop a bad situation worse but I don't expect him to be highly train or in the right mental capacity after killing another human being to robotically follow OP's list of instructions. The police on the other hand are supposed to be better trained to handle these kinds of situations and shouldn't have a shoot first and ask questions later mentality.
1
@TangoNevada I agree but I'm not going to fault someone trying to stop a violent person. My point is that we can't expect civilians to react calmly and rationally in the wake of a trauma-inducing incident no matter how much time they spend on the gun range (or on Call of Duty) so 1) the idea of hoping civilians with guns will stop gun violence is ridiculous and 2) police need to be better trained in assessing situations before blazing away like untrained civilians
1
what is it with pro-gun folks and their long-winded rambling often incoherent rants? They just prove why we need mental health checks for gun ownership and overall more emphasis on mental health as a whole.
1
the older generations thinks of themselves as a kind of cowboy hero taking out the bad guys with well aimed shots while the younger generations think of themselves as Call of Duty warriors taking out the bad guys with well aimed shots and health packs.

The band member getting his guns wouldn't have been effective anyway because good luck trying to shoot a guy in a higher position with cover from the ground.

@peterkrug2327 the NRA did back in the day when they pushed for legislation outlawing the sale of automatic weapons in the wake of bank robbers like Dillinger and Bonnie&Clyde. Of course that was before the NRA was hijacked by paranoia and shillery for gun manufacturers.
1
@chadfrink4487 committing treason? Lay off the hammy performance, you gun nut. Wild West towns enacted strict gun ordinances and didn't worry about committing treason to the constitution. Take your meds.
1
@chadfrink4487 yawn! pop a chill pill! It's not treason, you melodramatic ham, anymore than when the NRA pushed for legislation to ban the sale of machine guns. And I'm not scared of guns, I'm scared of unstable people like you screaming "treason!" at the drop of the hat having easy access to them.
1
@chadfrink4487 damn, dude, now that is some unstable shit. Get help soon
1
@chadfrink4487 lol! You're the one screaming "TREASON!!!" FFS have some self-perspective! But that's really beyond the scope of your mental capability, isn't it?

how many shootings have you been involved in? Even combat soldiers can get thrown out of the loop from a sudden attack and they are trained for it. A civilian who lives their life without much incident suddenly is in a life-or-death situation resulting in them shooting and killing another person and you expect them to calmly do all that crap you wrote with adrenaline pumping thru them? You're playing armchair quarterback from the Captain Hindsight position.
