In the past I would have agreed in the similarities in the parties but that hasn't been the case for quite some time and only the completely blind, deaf, and intentionally stupid still think so. The Republican party has de-evolved into a mob of batshit crazy obstructionists who are completely out-of-touch with reality.

  24. nexus1g political parties have always been a reality in every country for ages including at that exact moment those words were being written down.  Democracy is formed out of argument and compromise. That's how the Constitution came about. It wasn't from everyone getting along but the key thing was the ability to concede and compromise which currently the Republicans in general lack.
