  1. I don't get it why BRICS is living in the west propaganda about each member swap value? The value of each member currency should be determined by the need of two countries trading, not just because Ethiopia doesn't produce anything thus the value of local Ethiopia currency against a group. No. Why? Each country has different demand. For example, Ethiopia has large reserves of metallic minerals such as gold, platinum, iron, nickel, and chromite, as well as fertilizer raw minerals like potash and phosphate. These minerals may have no value to South Africa as South Africa has similar natural resources, but Ethiopia may be needed by China, Russia etc who don't have those natural resources. So, value of Ethiopian currency for swap in China may not be the same in South Africa. In the west, value of local currency depends on the west perception on what they see on those countries.
