EU and Ursula Von Der Lying just repeat what UK says and does, but not until a long time later. If Ukraine had been relying on EU for help they would have been ruled by Russia in March 2022.

@ftumschk The UK is England, with two or three parasites hanging on. Was not so long ago that the GDP of Yorkshire was more than the GDP of Scotland..

@ftumschk Not much engineering or manufacturing in Scotland or Wales these days = they have gone all-out zero carbon green nuttery, and actively scare any companies away that were going to invest in the countries. They would rather invest in north of England, which has proven industrial credentials. Both receive more from England than they contribute ( via the outrageous Barnett formula ) and both are no more than 'town council' governments. Northern Ireland is probably the biggest help to England, it has shipbuilding and Aerospace.
