@politicalfisherman540 In a state senator's town hall on commercial zoning I was allowed to speak in response to several proposals presented. All were reasonable, but my first choice was not the same as the majority. The times I left messages with my US house of representative has been met with follow ups and additional details on upcoming bills. The most important bill was a few years ago. I wanted to ensure the Federal government stays out of homeschooling. So, I made my concerns known. Most times I wanted confirmation on how my representative intends to vote. The communication has always been positive and constructive mostly a phone call voicemail and a later reply. BTW A few years ago I took my kids to the capital and we sat in on some bills being debated. That was good.
