In 1945 my father was six years old, when american troops entered the village.At our house an american soldier broke the housedoor window, put his arm in and unlocked the door. The inhabitants of the house, my fater, his sister and brother, his mother and grandmother a neighbor woman and an old man over 80, had been in the cellar. There the soldier pointed to the unarmed people, including the children, with his pistol and said : Wo Ring? Wo Gold? ( Wo means where and what Ring and Gold means in english you should know without learning german). The american soldiers had not all been the honourius men you know from your propaganda movies. But many crimes done by allied troops are not punished until now, while still some nearly 100 years old concentration camp guards have to do with german court system.

  3. When crimes done during WW ll would have been punished with the same standarts, a lot of allied soldiers and heroic patisans would have been executed!
