A few years ago in a german arms magazin there was an article about an Mauser M71 or M71/ 84 rifle. Usualy all rifles had been in 11,15 x 60 , only for Serbia in 11,15 x 62. Now a german antique arms dealer/ trader bought such a rifle for a normal price for the rifles condition. Some time later, when he had more time, he took a closer look and noticed , the dummy cartridge in 11, 15 mm did not fit. It was in 9,4 mm , after research in military prussian archive, he had the solution, about 200 or 300 rifles had been made in 9,4 mm for a test/ trial , after a german officer with lots of ,connections' had nerved the War Ministry.
