  1. Dan, you cracked me up with your video. You're right on the mother lode -- and don't call it out. Those quartz infused country rocks ARE the source of the gold in your pan. Those pickers are not coming downstream during the Spring flood. They have flaked off Winter by Winter as ice does its 'thing.' The thin quartz => thin pickers. Get it? Whenever you see thin gold -- look for thin intrusive quartz. If you follow the quartz -- up the high bank -- you'll start running into hard rock gold... if you drill. Most of which figures to be deeper, much deeper. You're really on top of a Mother Lode. It runs right through your claim. Nice. (I'll bet that this geology runs up and down the Fraser River, hence no nuggets.) I'll bet that the old timers never test drilled anywhere. Pickers your size imply that the Au/ton must run 15-30 gms/ton... in the vein zone. Get out there and find out how extensive the (gold-quartz) intrusion zone is. Then, it's a question of assay.
