You only need large sorting facilities in large population centers, rural towns cannot sustain the cost of operations and have to be subsidized at the cost of the large and medium population centers. If the usps where to go private it would be bankrupt in a year or less.

  4. Usps employees just don't care, it is nearly impossible to be fired. They can cuss out customers to their face, steal mail, whatever they want and have a job for life

You never addressed what I said..... the only things really sent by snail mail are maybe bills, maybe meds, irs and state/federal stuff and the rest is junk mail. Email does vastly more communication faster, cheaper and better. Usps needs a major overhaul to not bleed vast sums of money, this means alot of post offices get closed and postal workers lose jobs.
