The truth is in 10 years time most of them protesters won’t even admit involvement in all the violence

wiistful most people in the protest was not even born when the British ruled. Most in the protest mum and dad was still living on mainland China when the British ruled. Most people in the protest are not even 3rd generation Hong Kong. The promise of the road paved in gold never happened to them and many have relatives in mainland doing much better then them

People in hk have had to put up with this stuff for just under a year and then corona no break in the middle. The rest of the world has gone crazy from just corona. The normal hk people not involved in this political stuff are really tired. Can them freedom fighter go do it in mainland China and let us normal people rest and pls don’t say it’s for us we never asked

@cancanjaker1620 I agree the main problem is the tax system in Hong Kong its top bracket need to be raised and need to move towards Singapore’s public housing model. So the people don’t have to worry about owning a home. As for the protesters I think it’s for the wrong reasons it would make more sense to me if it was a protest on the CCP not speaking to the hk people in Cantonese more then anything else.

@a11-j6r2k the USA embassy was smart and got an extra few hundred year lease from the British before the hand over on top of that the British government thought China was going to pay them for the government buildings. While telling the Portuguese not to hand out passport to the people of Macau. Under British rule no public swimming pools was even built till the 80s. Under British rule the amount of university’s built in Hong Kong was controlled because uprising normally starts in university’s . Under British rule No dogs no Chinese was a real sign outside a lot of parks in Hong Kong

DavetheSlave the law is always on the rich persons side he hires a better lawyer. like i said in the other post it needs to up its tax and raise the min wage. in london its about 10 pounds min wage hong kong is not much cheaper to live in so needs to up its min wage. as for what china sould do with hong kong i think it sould just let them be like a scotland let its set its own taxes . but any major laws goes though Parliament
