Messaging during this once in a century global pandemic is more difficult now because of the need to communicate to two very disparate audiences. One, a more diligent, more careful and cautious audience that will take precautions and get tested to protect others -- including some who still may be unable or unwilling to get vaccinated -- who want more complex, evolving and nuanced information, with all the caveats and qualifications intact. The other, a more questioning, more utilitarian about precautions, and more focused on restoring a pre-pandemic normalcy than focused a new post-pandemic normalcy -- including some who are proudly vaccinated and/or boosted -- who want more simple or consistent guidance and information with little or no revisions and caveats or qualifications.

@yehimstone5492 - Because it's not true.

@yehimstone5492 - The fact is...we don't know, and in large part because "Rogan's Recipe" of pre-infection immune system targeted supplements and habits, as well as the post-infection regimen he used involved numerous items and habits, not just Ivermectin. Additionally, he might've just been one of the people who have no symptoms or mild symptoms regardless of his unique intake of things and general health habits. "Even though Rogan apparently did manage to avoid more serious consequences of Covid-19, it’s not clear which of the “therapeutics” that he had taken if any may have made any difference. For example, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Covid-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel does recommend the use of certain anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibody regimens under certain circumstances. However, the Panel also has determined that there is insufficient evidence there is “insufficient evidence” for them “to recommend either for or against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of Covid-19.” When you do multiple things, it’s hard to tell which can take the credit. Plus, a sizeable percentage of people infected with the Covid-19 coronavirus do end up having milder illness." https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2021/10/15/joe-rogan-suggested-getting-vaccinated-then-getting-covid-19-for-more-protection/

I'm intentionally setting to the side the impact and expression, both socially and politically, of these audiences. I did so to make the PR point as its own comment here. Disinformation kills, whether from Joe Rogan or Bill Maher.
