And Benedict Arnold is still holding Trump's beer, because the Republicans have ensured Trump's not done yet.

@hollyrae1101 - We haven't left NATO, and have never been a member of OPEC, though we have wielded influence via allies, weapons dealing, and diplomatic efforts regarding OPEC. The plain fact is, the US and UK wouldn't likely ever become members, mostly because it was created to counterbalance British and American monopolistic and exploitative practices.

Pre-taped deza is the laziest deza. Deza is shorthand for дезинформация, transliterated as dezinformatsiya, or disinformation.

@hollyrae1101 - Despite his damaging rhetoric, funding and troops for NATO increased during Trump's administration, mostly from Obama era funding commitments he kept, but also from other increased spending. _________________________ "...despite Trump's frequent criticism of NATO's cost-sharing formula — a sizeable increase in U.S. outlays for military operations in Europe since he took office." "Most of that jump in spending was on the European Deterrence Initiative, an effort to strengthen U.S. military forces in Europe begun by the Obama administration in response to Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea and continued backing of pro-Russia separatists in Ukraine." "During the first three years of that effort, originally known as the European Reassurance Initiative, [Obama's administration] dedicated about $5.2 billion to building up the American military presence in Europe." "The Trump administration has more than tripled what its predecessor spent..." - NPR: Under Trump, NATO Nations Get More U.S. Troops And Military Spending, December 3, 2019

It's also the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) because members must be net exporters of petroleum. The US didn't qualify to apply for membership based on this alone until four decades after fracking's use began -- the biggest hurdle though is that membership must be approved by 3/4ths of existing members.

@luminousfractal420 - Additionally, before the invasion of Georgia, in 2008, GW Bush told both Georgia and Ukraine he welcomed and supported their desire to join NATO, despite the (highly irregular and invalidly unilateral) assurances that daddy HW Bush's Secretary of State had made to the Gorbachev in 1990 that NATO wouldn't expand one inch to the east. NATO's open door policy is fundamental to the alliance, and can't be overturned by one member country, let alone one President, but HW Bush was giddy with "last remaining superpower" imperial arrogance.
