Erdoğan also started talks about "mobilization" of the nation. Its still too early but it wasnt a slip of the mouth. It was a tactical move to see what kind of support such a move would get. If true and a full scale mobilization would take place, where i would be called into service, Turkey could be planning a "long term stay" in syrian territories.

@leodarksam6230 it will also strenghten the position of syrian government as weaking the opposition will allow the government to re establish it self, as it should. However just because there is an operation with a purpose doesnt mean it will succeed without long term consequences. Afghanistan and Vietnam are examples to that.
