They don't need a reason, if they think the land belongs to them they can take it. The only reason they haven't is called mercy. Taiwan is much weaker and China recognize that - they don't have to be hurt. Just submit and surrender, that's all. Just like Ukraine, there doesn't need to be a conflict at all - the conflict is what will hurt people - not to surrender.

If America start war with Russia, and now China I will not care what happens to them. At least China knows where it's loyalty lies, America has shown that they do not. America does not respect it's own people, it's own land and it's own borders! It is just pure luck, that North Korea, China and Russia has not joined forced and attacked all at once.
