Completely agree. Bernie always points to places like Scandinavia when saying we should be like them, but the fact is he only wants to end up like them (when it comes to things like "free" healthcare). He doesn't actually want to do what they did to get there. They're more free-market than we are! But you won't hear Bernie admit that; instead, his policies are quite the opposite from Scandinavia. They're more about control, hence the persistent comparisons to his brand of "socialism' with that of Venezuela's.

@habl844 See, this is a big problem with Bernie's whole campaign. He himself is telling you "I'm a democratic socialist", but you don't want to believe him. Similarly, his campaign organizers (the count is up to four now) are promoting violence and/or gulags for anyone who dares to disagree with Bernie, and he has yet to denounce any of them. The signs are right in front of you, but you don't want to look.

@dedale2610 No minimum wage laws, they've school vouchers, and they don't penalize the wealthy with high corporate tax rates for starters. Scandinavia learned its lesson about capitalism some time ago (especially Sweden), while the U.S. sort of bumbles around as if it's entirely forgotten its own history. Maybe that's the problem, though, maybe it has.

I hope Trump wins too, but we can't take it for granted. The Democrats still have Hollywood, the mainstream media, and social media in their pockets, after all.
