I'm with the tradwives. My wife and I have lived this way for 16 years now (13 with a son) and we're both very glad we did. As for the risks, every. single. decision you make will come with risks and tradeoffs, some just being more apparent than others. For example, building a successful career often requires a ton of time and hard work which actually increases the odds of never marrying and/or having children. Sending your child (if you ever have one) to daycare and/or a government school will also come with countless risks of varying significance. Better for people to look at what kind of life they're probably going to want later (and I mean statistically, not just based on their current individual feelings) and build the skills and inclinations that kind of life will call for. I will say that anyone considering this way of life should court rather than just date. Ask the important questions right away (e.g., on the first date) before strong feelings have any chance of being caught. Because as we all know, once you fall "in love" with someone you will ignore or downplay any red flags and that's how you end up getting divorced or abused. Naturally, any woman wanting to be a tradwife should only settle for a traditional husband type of man who believes it is his role to provide for and protect her (and shows it).

I'm with the tradwives. And not just in the "Whatever makes you happy more power to ya!" sense. I full-on think it's better for both men and women to adhere to traditional gender roles and norms whenever possible.

I'm with the tradwives. My wife and I have lived this way for 17 years (14 with a son) and we're both very glad we did. And I don't think making some money online keeps you from being a tradwife, just like cooking on occasion doesn't keep you from being a traditional husband. Apart from that, you do need a solid financial plan, and the man has to be a traditional husband who accepts his role of protector and provider, but that's why you vet each other properly by courting (not just dating) and you explicitly look for traditional values.

@andreipopescu5342 Agreed. And people should be learning how to recognize the signs of an abusive partner. Also, one marriage is not equal to another (what happens later on depends on how you set it up), and it's not like there aren't risks involved in prioritizing a career.

Men should be adhering to traditional gender roles and norms as well (e.g., the man is to provide for her and keep her safe), and women should require that before getting married or having sex with them. Also, you're better off learning how to spot the signs of abusive behavior than worrying about who makes the money. And when you say "slavery", are you just putting a negative label on women choosing to be tradwives or...?

Well said!

The Transformed Wife is one. But you have to keep in mind that older generations are simply not as skilled with social media and/or inclined to bother with it. We can't conclude that that there aren't tons of older "tradwives" in existence just because they're relatively rare on YouTube.

Not all men are abusive...
