Yep. the sad thing is, the as more and more foreigners live in Japan, the very Japan that they were attracted to in the first place gets eroded.

I'm living in Japan. I have spent time in China and have Indian friends here. I would say from an outsider's perspective, Indian culture and values more closely align with Japan, than modern-day China does. Although I can feel quite a bit of negative western influence in Japan recently. Korea is especially bad in this regard, adopting the worst of American culture at astonishing speed.

@b.p.5129 I don't see that AI guy's comments as they've likely been deleted. But, freedom does not automatically equal good outcome. In fact, in most aspects of life, having rules and systems in place is far far more productive and better for individuals and society, than simply letting people do whatever they like whenever they like. You'll notice this very quickly when you see a child with good parents vs a child with bad (or absent) parents. now apply that to adults, both men and women. And because of nature, women do in fact need more constraints to achieve the desired outcome.

@b.p.5129 i replied because your reasoning is the thoughtless nonsense that gets repeated time and time again. you're projecting your insecurities.

@JackHarker386 I doubt most of their parents threw them into the streets. usually they go volunteerily. As the one boy said, some middle schoolers even look up to them and think it's a cool thing to do. most decent parents (i imagine most parents) would fully understand and help their kids. it's usually the kids who have an issue reaching out to their parents, so they try to find others around their same age.

@maegalroammis6020 sad but true. the catch22 is: they expect foreigners to leave so they don't take them seriously, and foreigners ultimately won't waste there time staying somewhere where they aren't taken seriously (i.e. no future) the number of places with traditional women who want to marry and start a family at an appropriate age, is quickly diminishing. dark times ahead.

@aubreyplazasuncle More choice, in many scenarios leads to a worse outcome. ever seen a child with only one toy? they cherish it. compare that to a spoiled kid with everything... they quickly grow bored and treat it all like garbage. dating/relationships are just like that.

@ishie19.78 that's called wealth privilege. whoever has money, locals will learn some of their language to deal with them. most Europeans are multilingual. but you can't be expected to learn the language of every place you want to go. that said, i think most people are truly interesting in living/working/finding a partner is a foreign country will study their language. however, even if you study for a few years, the native person will likely have better English than your target language, as they've been learning English for easily 10+ years.

I really enjoyed the opinions from the man who lived in North Carolina. He had the most complete views. And a deeper understanding.

@G1lgamesj unfortunately, no.

Hey I'm from Arizona too and I've never seen this girl before! sus

@jesipohl6717 have you ever met a teenager? you realize kids and teens can make choices too right? and parents usually don't have the time to monitor their kids 24/7 (nor would that be healthy for the kids) In Japan in particular, school plays a huge role in the growth of young people. so when kids are ostracized by their peers (as one girl mentioned) it can have a pretty drastic effect.
2
it's very simple: once society allows young women to behave as selfishly as possible and constantly lies to them ("a 'career' is more rewarding than a family and motherhood" and "you have plenty of time" being the two biggest and most insidious lie of all), they put off having children until it's too late. it's happening in quite a few places now.
1
@themanape just about. large state, small population.

Usually the school or the workplace will assist you. Schools often have people specifically for this purpose. It's always difficult getting settled in a foreign country, especially if you don't share a common language.

She could use a little humility and a bra. the feminism is strong with this one.

@b.p.5129 you know what is destroying families and therefore societies? women depending on government assistance instead of on their husbands. relationships/marriages are to be beneficial for both, and then the family, and then society at large. this modern-day "we don't need men" attitude is absurd. and anybody with two brains cells to rub together would realize that. who built the society that keeps you safe and provides comfort? all the infrastructure? the sanitation? the goods? the food? stop promoting woke nonsense.

@rose-yeah and it was society's job to constrain human nature for the betterment of all. now people want all the benefits of a safe and civil society, with none of the obligations or accountability needed to build/maintain it. american women are the most ungrateful people on this planet, hand's down.

No, Japan did it the right way. The USA bailed out the banks, at the expense of the people, in the form of debt and taxes. Even if they don't feel it yet (which they do) they're children and grandchildren will be paying for it. In the USA and most countries, profits are privatized, losses are socialized. Bankers and CEOs reap the rewards in high times, and the people pay the cost in bad times. It's entirely corrupt and horsesh!t

those people are lying. The people who lie to young women and tell them not to marry or have children, are terrible people. They usually say that nonsense because they are incredibly naïve or just trying to make themselves feel better about their own poor choices. there are zero things in this life that can match the fulfillment one gets from having a family and children. and for women, after about 30 you basically become invisible to the world. so if you don't have a husband and kids, you've missed the boat. the world and internet are overflowing with deranged middle-aged women trying to cope with this by either lying to themselves or to others. when i stayed in Japan, the amount of ~35 yr old single women was astonishing. and sad.

That lady that works in media needs to watch this video. She's quite well off, but seemingly not happy because she can't buy everything she wants at anytime she wants. Typical spoiled girl.
