  1. I'm living in Japan. I have spent time in China and have Indian friends here. I would say from an outsider's perspective, Indian culture and values more closely align with Japan, than modern-day China does. Although I can feel quite a bit of negative western influence in Japan recently. Korea is especially bad in this regard, adopting the worst of American culture at astonishing speed.

  3. Usually the school or the workplace will assist you. Schools often have people specifically for this purpose. It's always difficult getting settled in a foreign country, especially if you don't share a common language.
