  1. The American Dream is most certainly over. Even to ask the question is to cast doubt upon its demise. Egregious income disparities, an exorbitantly exclusive education system, an electoral process that is little more than performative "theater", a crumbling infrastructure. Hell, we have even grossly turned millions of acres of living soil in to mineral "dirt" that has to be fortified artificially to produce food. Where is the cultural wisdom in any of that? We have a military that sucks up almost 60% of discretionary spending that could blow up the world if it chose to do so, but we can't teach and feed much of our own nation adequately. American Dream? Are you joking?

  2. And never forget the utter explosion of household debt that consumers have resorted to in pursuit of the American Dream. Talk about a weak "infrastructure"!
