  1. The real over-riding question is "have we truly succumbed to the "lesser angels" of human nature? America, at its founding, represented the best angels of human nature imbued with noble ideals, good intentions and a humanitarian response to the excesses of feudal Europe. It was a beautiful idea that has been progressively shat upon by the privileged few mesmerized by greed and thirst for control : the lesser angels. We the People, through naive trust, ignorance and personal ambition have allowed those "demons" to thrive in the fantasyland we once all imagined.
