  1. Vietnam is #1 on my list. I make a fair amount tax free on VA disability, enough to buy a modest new home in a blue state, but I could live so much better, for cheaper and be able to save a ton of money outside the US. The weather, food and people puts Vietnam at the top of the list. Belize, Panama and Uruguay are up there also. I am checking out a few African countries as well. There is a not-insignificant veteran ex-pat population in Vietnam, although I would prefer to live outside large cities, which most others don't seem to do.
