They said they haven't confirmed it yet and that's part of the problem: both that law enforcement generally don't treat this aspect seriously enough to properly investigate it and that it's causing concerns that this might become another disappearing headline if not investigated thoroughly, especially as anti-Asian hate crimes have been spiking exponentially.

Though it is bizarre that you want the victims to be the ones doing the leg-work for stopping discrimination against them. You should be going after non-Asian celebs or just any non-Asians to speak up and take a stand to support Asians, especially those who benefit from the Asian community.

BTS never publicized their $1M donation to BLM. The organization receiving the funds did. BTS rarely ever go public with their donations (if you check, almost all of their donations are only revealed by other party sources and never by the group, themselves, unless they were involved in a project directly connected with the group, like the UNICEF Love Myself campaign). It's more likely that BTS did give and the group(s) they donated to just chose not to publish it at this time. And I haven't seen any AAPI group publish donations given to them either (let me know if you've seen smt different tho). But I've seen all the publicizing of donations be done by the donors.
