Western propagande and mass media ( included Hollywood) overrated US military tech and weapons system and hide losses...nothing new!....one example is the first day of Desert Storm operation 1991.....17 January jet fighters Mig 25 Foxbat took off and intercepted the first waves of US aircraft and shot down one Navy F-18C( Bureau number 163484) and Killed Top Gun Capt Scott Speicher, one A-6E Intruder ( Bureau Number 161668) Pilots Lt Robert Wetzel and Lt Jeffrey Norton both captured..and one F-15E ( serial number 88-1689) Pilots Thomas Koritz and WSO Donnie Hollad both killed!...USA sources told that F-18 had an accident ( years later recognize that was shot down), A-6 was shot down by SA 2( accord Iraq sources SAM system were not operative the first day to avoid be destroyed by cruise missiles waves) and F-15 was shot down by AAA artillery ( accord Iraq sources AAA could not shot down fighter jets flying above 3000mts).....no Mig 25 was shot down that day....
